The Project

Sometimes the best work starts without a brief, a crew call or an overworked plan. With two hours to spare, Lyndon headed out with our friend Ryan Godfrey to create something simple, instinctive and entirely driven by the urge to shoot.

Inspired by a piece of work we had recently seen, the film was captured entirely on a probe lens, giving us a playful perspective and pushing us to explore ordinary moments in a more unusual way.

The Approach

This was a strike mission in the truest sense: take a camera, find a subject and make something without waiting for every detail to be perfectly mapped out. As filmmakers, it is easy to overthink an idea until it never becomes anything. With Ryan, the point was to avoid that trap and simply put thought into action.

The Outcome

The edit was eventually shaped between a busy run of other work, and while the process did not unfold with the time we might usually give a project, that became part of what made it valuable. It was a reminder that not every film needs to begin with a grand plan. Sometimes, getting outside and creating is enough to spark something worth keeping.
